Very Exciting News from Nemeth Law
To our friends and clients:
It is with great excitement that we share the news that Nemeth Law is now Nemeth Bonnette Brouwer. The name change comes as we celebrate our 30th year as a Detroit-based law firm with a national reach; a firm committed to our roots and dedicated solely to working with employers to prevent, resolve, and litigate labor and employment disputes.
The firm was founded in 1992 by Pat Nemeth as the Law Offices of Patricia Nemeth. In January 2020, the firm was purchased from Pat by longstanding firm partners Terry Bonnette and Deborah Brouwer. Nemeth Bonnette Brouwer reflects the ownership change while honoring Pat’s legal achievements and stellar reputation as a labor and employment attorney, mediator, and arbitrator.
To coincide with the firm’s renaming, we are pleased to introduce our new website as well. You’ll note the web address remains the same, as will all firm email addresses.
Because you may not be familiar with each of our individual backgrounds, we’d like to introduce – or reintroduce – ourselves.
- Deborah Brouwer is Managing Partner of Nemeth Bonnette Brouwer. She is a highly acclaimed attorney who is actively engaged in the legal and nonprofit communities and is the Immediate Past President of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Deborah was counsel for the UAW Legal Services Plan. Her full bio can be found on our website.
- Terry Bonnette joined the firm in 2002 as a law clerk while in law school at Wayne State University and earned his way to partner with his strong legal counseling skills and practical approach to problem solving. Terry represents clients in litigation before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators. You can read his complete bio on our website.
- Pat Nemeth, a revered member of the legal community, has successfully advocated for her clients as a litigator and sagely advised her clients as a counselor for more than 30 years. Pat, who remains of counsel to Nemeth Bonnette Brouwer, now offers that same experience in her role of mediator and arbitrator. Her full bio can be found on our website
While our name has changed, our commitment to providing high quality legal services to our clients with integrity and trustworthiness is foundational - and as strong as ever.
