Profile
Kathleen Gatti has dedicated her legal career to representing the interests of employers. Having worked with and been mentored by some of the most accomplished practitioners in labor and employment law, Kathleen is a strong and talented attorney who advocates vigorously for her clients. She is an outstanding listener who takes a practical, client-centered approach to every matter, whether counseling, litigating, or conducting workplace investigations. Having represented employers from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses across a range of industries, Kathleen knows that one size does not fit all when crafting a legal plan to tackle the many issues employers face. She devotes a significant amount of her practice at Nemeth Bonnette Brouwer to workplace investigations involving complaints of harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination. Kathleen also defends employers against claims of discrimination, FMLA violations and whistleblower claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, obtaining numerous dismissals and favorable settlements. Collectively, these experiences inform Kathleen’s pragmatic approach when counseling her clients on avoiding employment disputes and when drafting employment policies and procedures that work for her clients.
